It’s crazy how it has already been a week, it’s also crazy that it has only been a week.
All is well with K squad (that’s the 30 or so people I’ll be traveling with).
Each day we have sessions that are full of information from amazing speakers. Teaching us more about the gospel and why and what we are here to do, both on the World Race and in life. I’ll put some of my notes at the bottom of this post.
Food is yummy, we have had a mix of normal American food alongside delicious curry, Guatemalan food and cheese and jelly sandwiches. One night we even got surprise ice cream.
Yesterday we had “fitness day”. It was so much fun, we did 3ish hours of running around camp doing different tasks as a group, for example: flipping tires across the parking lot, going across the lawn as human wheelbarrows, carrying people on our backs, relay sort or running thing, and setting up a tent blindfolded.
Here are some of my notes from this week for those who are interested:
-Gods character of forgiveness is predictable, but the way he does things is unpredictable.
-we were made to live in relationship with our creator.
-Jesus is a perfect representation of God the Father.
-God has loved us from before He crated us, He wants us to turn to Him.
-Jesus wants us to work in partnership with him, not for him.
– each of us have a special calling and purpose.
-faith is not determined by unanswered prayers but by what we do with unanswered prayers.
-I can’t be all in for Jesus while also being partially in religion and the world.
-comparison is the thief of joy and the thief of full potential.
-without love, our good works are nothing. it’s not about what you do, it’s about how you do it.
Love,
Rosella
I love your “fitness day” stories!
